Bergen Chess Mates has been holding USCF sanctioned Chess Tournaments for over 50 years in northern New Jersey. Formally Dumont Chess Mates and in 2015 was merged with the Suffern Chess Club.
We meet at the Ridgewood United Methodist Church most Mondays. Doors are unlocked at 6 PM and the Tournaments run from 7 until usually 9:30 or 10. Active USCF membership is required for the Tournaments but casual play is available as well.
The Address is 100 Dayton Street, Ridgewood NJ.
Enter the Church Through the East Room Entrance in front of the Church’s Parking Lot. You will need to download the app or to obtain a keyfob if you cannot get the app so contact us for more details or to let you inside until you can. Once in the Church, walk all the way straight then slight right and then go down the stairs to the Little Cafeteria / Quimby Hall.
